What is Physioseye?
Physioseye is a publishing entity that aims to host information relating to conditions that can be managed and treated via physical interventions, whether applied by registered body workers or self-treatment for people with specific conditions. It’s focus is on highlighting referenced books and articles that provide information for people interested in self-treatment and education.
Physioseye was set up by Dr Ian Davidson, a UK clinical researcher, who has practiced as a physiotherapist for 40 years. He retired from academic life in 2021 and returned to clinical work and continues on a part-time basis. In 2022, after acquiring trigger finger, he discovered a method of treatment that was effective and which required no medicine, injections or surgery. He has written 2 books on this subject, one on self-treatment of trigger finger and the other, The ManTTr® Protocol, as a guide for therapists.
He has also developed new ideas on the treatment of other common condition. Almost all of these treatments can be self-administered and/or provided by registered therapists and bodyworkers. All therapies are based on physical interventions to the body and do not ever involve medications or surgery as core options. Dr Davidson has has published in peer reviewed journals on: stroke; Guillain-Barré syndrome; and migraine headache as core subjects. He has also supervised others in research into low back pain and early onset dementia and has assisted colleagues on work to investigate support for older people following discharge from hospital.
